“We need a whole new crew to step up,” organizer Charlotte Multer said. “We’ve said right now that unless we have a new crew, it’s not going to happen.”

Saturday April 25th, rain or shine we will have our 7th annual Mt. Charlie Challenge Ride. Our ride is a pledge ride and we raise funds for our four schools in our district. If you haven’t signed up and would like to ride we will be taking new registrations that morning. Since you won’t be able to raise pledges, we ask for a $55. donation. The ride registration is $45. and with $55. donation your check should be made out to SVEF for $100. Please bring your pledges that you have collected to registration or call Paula 438-0172 or Charlotte 334-7279 to arrange a drop off before.
We open registration at 7am at Skypark at the Scotts Valley Recreation Building off Kings Village Road. A goodie bag will be given out until we run out of them. If you pre-registered you are guaranteed a goodie bag with t-shirt and extra’s goodies! We do have some extra’s for last minute registrations as well.
This year our 100k and 50k riders will go out together with a mass start at 8:00am lead out by our Scotts Valley’s Finest Police Officers – probably Officer Hohmann.
We will have vehicles that will provide SAG support – they will have extra water, first aide, bike pumps, some food and smiles. All the rest stops will have the same. Rest stops and SAG will be driving through to 2:00pm. If at any time you would like a ride in, let our SAG groups know. On your maps there are SAG persons phone numbers. Keep in mind, some may not have reception on top of Highland Way, for a short time. You can always call Charlotte’s cell and she will reach someone for you 334-7279.
Come and enjoy the day with us while we support our schools.
