Mt. Charlie Group Ride 4/20
Sunday we will be holding two conditioning rides starting at 9:00am from the Skypark parking lot (directions below). Hopefully some of you who haven’t been able to make Saturday’s ride can come this week.
David will be leading a more advanced ride that will head up to the summit, for a long and mountainous ride. We’ll wait for people to catch up at the tops, but you will need to be ready for a hard effort.
The shorter ride will be lead out by Monique and the proposed route is about 20 miles, which would go up Bean Creek, to Glenwood then Granite Creek and Glen Canyon to the north side of Scotts Valley and on to Skypark. She is flexible on the route.
Come out for a group ride this Saturday, April 5th, 2008 at 10:00 am, lead by David. Everyone is welcome. We will meet at Skypark in Scotts Valley. Go to the parking lot that is past the skate park, and meet there. We’ll be heading up Mt. Charlie for a 2-3 hour ride. Everyone is welcome to join, and no one gets left behind.
Please contact David, if you have any questions.

I would like to thank the many volunteers and sponsors for helping Scotts Valley Educational Foundation (SVEF) to be a success. On April 29th, we held our 5th annual Mt. Charlie Challenge Bike Ride, and on May 20th we held the 19th annual Ice Cream Social. Both events are critical fundraising opportunities that help Scotts Valley schools.
The SVEF takes pride in making your donations have a meaningful impact on our schools. The Foundation provides funds to benefit every child in the Scotts Valley School District. Our community benefits as well – Excellent schools are the cornerstone of a successful community. The support received by local business and community groups is essential to the Foundation’s continued growth and ensures our schools are among the best.
Thank you everyone, your help is vital to our success.
Sincerely,
Charlotte Multer
SVEF President
The Scotts Valley Educational Foundation (SVEF) 4th annual 100K and 50K ride, “Mountain Charlie Challenge” on May 6, 2006 was a big success. Thanks to all those who helped.
The Metric Century (62 miles) ride climbed to the summit, by wineries and beautiful redwoods, then traveled through Corralitos, Aptos, Santa Cruz and returned to Scotts Valley.
The Half Century (32 miles) had less challenging climbs but still offered a tour through the redwoods, a rest stop at a vineyard, and on to Aptos, returning to Scotts Valley.
The SVEF Mountain Charlie Challenge is a pledge ride to benefit all Scotts Valley public schools. All funds raised will go directly to SVEF to support school programs.
