The free “Music at Skypark” concert series benefiting local public schools continues on July 31 with perennial favorite Houserockers and its foot-stomping rock sound. The band won KFOX’s 2010 Last Band Standing contest, and will be appearing for the third consecutive year at Music at Skypark. Opening the concert will be The Coffis Brothers, featuring the folk rock sound of Jamie and Kellen Coffis from Ben Lomond.

Music at Skypark concerts are on the last Sundays of June, July, August and September. After the July 31 concert, the series returns on August 28 and September 25. All concerts run from 3:30 to about 7:30 pm at Skypark in Scotts Valley. There’s no admission charge to the concerts, but all net profits from food, alcohol, t-shirt and raffle sales support the music programs at local public schools. Proceeds from last year’s concerts are credited with maintaining music programs at local schools.
